I love Pika and have no plans on moving from there. I also love Ghost because as a nerd it's infinitely more malleable and I like playing around with blogging software. I've said this before but I always end up thinking I should consolidate everything. 🤷♂️ What can I say other than I'm mercurial about this stuff and probably just need to accept it and have multiple places to post and play with blogging. So that's what I'm going to do.
(I’d also point out that changing blogging platforms brings a certain about of “creativity” to my brain and I post a lot when switching platform. I guess it’s that shiny new blog feeling…)
I had said previously as well that Magic Pages was too expensive for my needs and frankly it still is other than one: no messing around with hosting issues. I could do PikaPods and it's far cheaper but at the end of the day it isn't worth it. I can afford this and it supports a good platform.
I'm not sure what I'll be posting here or how often, and expect things to look messy as I tweak the site. I had a design I really liked before I left here. The current design is using a new theme and I’m not happy with it right now but it’s something until I can modify the theme to do what I want. It’s going to need some code changes but that’s part of the point of this whole thing. And why waste the domain registration and a good blog name?
